Hi Diego, Thanks for posting this. While agreeing with Attes comment, I do really like it. The panned hi hats would sound more spatial if they weren't panned totally left/right. Until about 1:18, the base sounds so cheap and choppy (as Julian said). Maybe a bit of decay and release would improve it. After the said time this becomes less annoying since the base merges with the rest, and the nice part begins (glad I was patient enough to listen through this first minute). I would not add compression except for the very low end, to push it somewhat up. It seems to be the case that electronic music I regard as well produced often looks over-compressed in waveform display, until you zoom in and discover that it is just the fundamental bass frequency periodically using up most of the dynamic range. Behind a ~80Hz high-pass filter, dynamics often well exceed the k14 range in jkmeter. The very opposite of californication-style compression, in that the result requires good playback systems. Just a laymans taste, have fun producing! best, d _______________________________________________ Linux-audio-user mailing list Linux-audio-user@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx http://lists.linuxaudio.org/listinfo/linux-audio-user
