Isnt this ('enhanced stereo') part of what the UHF format delivers aswell?

The article here claims the 2 channels UHF-encoding of Ambisonicssignals can be played back with a standard stereo-setup, and achieve'phantom' images behind the listener as well.  Ive never tried, butwould be very interested to hear about experiences from anyone.
