IMO they are much better than the behringer in design, features, flexibility and build quality. The channels have a record enable button so you don't accidentally record unwanted channels (or noise). Separate mix and monitor and record outs. Separate artist and engineer headphone outs. And much better mic pres. Well worth the few extra bucks. ($149 for Compact4, $249 for Compact10 at one place I checked) I have the Compact4 and Audiophile 2496 and can highly recommend.
