[RME HDSP 9632] No sound

Hi all,

I just bought a RME HDSP 9632 today but I cannot make it work.

Yes, another guy with this same eternal problem...

I already know that this card is (should be?) well supported under
GNU/Linux (and in fact it is why I bought it)...

My system/conf is:

-----
* Distro: Debian/Sid

* Kernel: vanilla 2.6.20.2 (+ realtime-lsm) with the following specific
ALSA modules:

		RME Hammerfall DSP Audio
		RME Digi96, 96/8, 96/8 PRO
		RME Digi9652 (Hammerfall)

What is the module I must use for a 9632?

$ lsmod | grep hdsp
snd_hdsp               43812  0
snd_rawmidi            18848  3 snd_seq_virmidi,snd_hdsp,snd_seq_midi
snd_pcm                59908  3 snd_rme96,snd_hdsp,snd_pcm_oss
snd_page_alloc          8328  2 snd_hdsp,snd_pcm
snd_hwdep               7428  1 snd_hdsp
snd                    41828  12
snd_seq_virmidi,snd_rme96,snd_hdsp,snd_seq_oss,snd_seq,snd_rawmidi,snd_seq_device,snd_pcm_oss,snd_mixer_oss,snd_pcm,snd_timer,snd_hwdep
$ lsmod | grep rme
snd_rme96              20516  0
snd_pcm                59908  3 snd_rme96,snd_hdsp,snd_pcm_oss
snd                    41828  12
snd_seq_virmidi,snd_rme96,snd_hdsp,snd_seq_oss,snd_seq,snd_rawmidi,snd_seq_device,snd_pcm_oss,snd_mixer_oss,snd_pcm,snd_timer,snd_hwdep

I even try to use "hdsploader", but as far as I understand how it works,
it is not required for the 9632:

-----
$ hdsploader
hdsploader - firmware loader for RME Hammerfall DSP cards
Looking for HDSP + Multiface or Digiface cards :
Card 0 : RME Hammerfall HDSP 9632 at 0xdcdd0000, irq 16

Do you need more informations/screenshots about my system/conf?

I have installed "alsa-tools" and "alsa-tools-gui" for "hdspmixer" and
"hdspconf".

"alsamixer" give me very poor information (but I have unmutted all I
could unmutted with it).

I have tried to use a ".asoundrc" file, but with no success.

-> Notice that before RME I used to work with a Audigy2 and all was ok.
But now the only little "sound" I can have is with jack (and only on
playback_9 port, in the headphone left part).

Any idea?

Thanks for your help...

Bye
