Maybe a simple JACK transport master that, given the number of beats per bar, waits for one bar's worth of taps (from some given input device) and starts the transport at that BPM. Like when Dee Dee Ramone yells "1, 2, 3, 4!" Maybe I'll try to write such a program, and name it DeeDee.
