yes but i have built it for mandriva 2006 with gcc-4.0.1 also and it
works just fine.
but when you look at this line

skipping incompatible /usr/lib32/libwine.so when searching for -lwine
/usr/lib/gcc/x86_64-pc-linux-gnu/3.4.4/../../../../x86_64-pc-linux-gnu/bin/ld:


it is clear that the wine he is using is compiled 32bit and that he is
trying to compile xfst 64bit

so either he should use a 64bit wine or compile xfst 32bit
