I'd think that red means overload for most > though. Most meters you see on digital hardware are IEC-268 Digital Peak Meters. Red happens at 0dB, the green/yellow division is application dependent. VU (Volume Unit) meters are something very different, and not very helpful for digital systems. - Steve
