|
| OK, rebuilt and sound is working much better. Audacity, sox and xmms
| all are fine.
|
| However cdplay is not perfect. cdplay plays a disc but no sound is
| produced. The problem occurs also with kernel 2.2.20, and with 2.4.24
| it won't play, with an error of nodisc. It plays fine in Windows 98.
| On a previous installation on this computer it worked fine.
|
| I have the required cable from the CD audio output plugged into the
| correct site on the motherboard. I am a member of audio and disk
| groups. Could anyone see what the problem might be or is more
| information needed? Maybe I'm missing a library.
|
| Thanks, Tim

OK got it going by meself. More alsamixer adjustments. Thanks all for
help.

Tim
