Yes it is. You are right.

But one's pay 100% of the price to use 30% of the specs.
Or to not have access of 70% of the specs.
That is the exaggeration.

At 44K or 48K - which is fine, you're right - there is a lot of cheaper
devices available with full control/support with a Gnu/Linux powered
computer.
