Hi all !
I'm reopening discussion in this thread [1]_ mainly because I want to
know whether it is possible to install softmodem mentioned in message
subject (i.e. 047e:2892 Agere Systems, Inc. ) in system with amd64
architecture . Every time I try to install either the deb package [1]_
(... even using dpkg --force-architecture ;) or from source [2]_ I
always get some error about the fact that kernel module cannot be
compiled because amd64 architectures are not supported . Is there any
hope for me to install these in amd64 systems ?
