Hello, I tried a few kernel's and the best among them was 2.6.27-9-generic to ubuntu with agrmodem and agere softModem Version 2.1.80, but works only sometimes(using wvdial). I wonder if there is a possibility to compile this module for a more recent kernel above 2.6.30. Because my sound card works much better in newer kernels. But the problem is that I can't make agere with success using this kernel. I even reached to compile one module that I fdownloaded from here http://linmodems.technion.ac.il/packages/ltmodem/11c11040/ but it does not connect. Now I'm having another problem (in the same 2.6.27-9-generic) --> Initializing modem. --> Sending: ATZ ATZ OK --> Sending: ATQ0 V1 E1 S0=0 &C1 &D2 +MS=34 ATQ0 V1 E1 S0=0 &C1 &D2 +MS=34 ERROR --> Bad init string.
