MP, Please send to the List, not directly to me. If an alternate Internet connection is available to you (ethernet for example), first use the Update-Manager under the Adm drop down list. ALternatively, once on line do; $ sudo apt-get update Then again try $ sudo apt-get wvdial Alternatively start at http://packages.ubuntu.com/lucid/wvdial to download the necessary packages. Most of the dependent package listed will already be on your System. You can also try first installing the newest versions of libuniconf4.4 & libiw29 which can be searched for at http://packages.ubuntu.com MarvS On Sat, Aug 14, 2010 at 4:16 AM, mohsen pazhoohiyani <mohsenpazhoohiyani@xxxxxxxxx> wrote: > thanks for your help > > i can not install *pppconf* and *wvdial* > > errors:dependency is not satesfiable: libuniconf4.4 > dependency is not satesfiable: libiw29 > > > > > On 8/14/10, Marvin Stodolsky <marvin.stodolsky@xxxxxxxxx> wrote: >> MP >> >> From http://www.linuxant.com/drivers/hcf/full/downloads.php#generic >> get the >> hcfpcimodem_1.21full_i386.deb.zip >> >> Under Linux unpack with: >> $ unzip hcfpcimodem*.zip >> Then install with: >> $ sudo dpkg -i hcfpcimodem*.deb >> Subsequently, the modem should be found with >> $ sudo wvdialconf /etc/wvdial.conf >> Edit in your personal information with: >> $ sudo gedit /etc/wvdial.conf >> and try dialing out with: >> $ sudo wvdial. >> See DOCs/Testing.txt for details. >> >> MarvS >> >> >> On Fri, Aug 13, 2010 at 1:23 PM, mohsen pazhoohiyani >> <mohsenpazhoohiyani@xxxxxxxxx> wrote: >>> hi >>> >>> modem model: Zoltrix Smart Spirit 56K >>> >>> i can not install my modem >>> >>> >>> >>> thanks >>> >> > > > -- > **MOH3N** >
