Thanks for clarifying. Does anybody know if I can get some help from
Conexant, and where?

I tried but it does not seems to make much difference.

My mtu config in /etc/ppp/options was default, I don't really know how
to set that, but I saw people on the internet setting it to 576, so we
tried with that, but also does not seems to make difference.


I don't know why, but it usually connects on my wvdial third attempt.
Between attempts I have to execute _sudo invoke-rc.d sl-modem-daemon restart_

Another funny thing is that every time I stop a connection attempt,
the phone rings until someone anwser, and after hangup it stops
ringing.
