Dogo, For your 0x10573055 Motorola softmodem chip, all you have done is appropriate. But there have been other reports of poor/intermittent results with this chip. Sadly there is a pre-compiled component that is now years old, that cannot be updated. Distribution rights were sold by Smartlink to Conexant, and there is no hope of getting support from Conexant for old Smartlink hardware.
