I hope you have changed the number and tried to connect from 06110 to 016110 and also you might want to add to /etc/ppp/options the line noauth Like a section of scanModem outputs something like: Checking settings of: /etc/ppp/options asyncmap 0 noauth crtscts lock hide-password modem proxyarp lcp-echo-interval 30 lcp-echo-failure 4 noipx What is in your /etc/ppp/options? please send us $ sudo cat /etc/ppp/options and if not there add noauth $sudo gedit /etc/ppp/options noauth See if that has any effect.
