The slamr driver simple isn't functional under 2.6.31 kernels
though Antonio reports function under on the same System under a
2.6.30 kernel with matching slamr.ko compiled under 2.6.30
Details are below

Unfortunately, the original maintainer for the slamr code is not
responding, and the rest of us on this List are not knowledgeable
enough to do a fix
