Vijay, We understand that the the agrsm driver installation was OK under 2.6.31-16-generic. These were drivers compiled with Nikolay's agrsm06pci-2.1.80~20090825-modified packaged. You system has the Agere modem with SV92EX 11c1:0630 chipset There was a failure to detect the modem at the wvdialconf test. There may a problem with this particular kernel. See this mornings message from Nikolay. Presently I'll assemble a package with the kernel that may be more functional.
