Re: ALi 5451, problems only with recent ALSA driver

RE: the version of Alsa-driver does not affect the result of the
slmodemd compilation, or does it?
the slmodemd compilation can be done within the slmodem-version/modem/
folder with command:
make SUPPORT_ALSA=1
wherein the SUPPORT_ALSA=1 specifies to use libalsa code from the base
libasound library (typically installed by dedault) and additionally
the libasound2-dev needed for ALSA competent slmodemd compilation.

Packages like SLMODEMD_gcc4.4_alsa1.0.21.tar.gz are assembled by
me/Anotnio, so a new User doesn't have to do extensive downloads
before being able to use the modem.

Usage seems to be relatively insenstive to the gcc version, but
matching does no harm
