I run Ubuntu 9.04 on x86_64 on a HP Pavilion tx1219us laptop, with a nVidia MCP51 audio controller and a Motorola Si2054 modem codec. sl-modem-daemon fails miserably when dialing, both the version shipped with Ubuntu and slmodem-2.9.11-2009022.
