Hi J.G.,

Your best bet is to send this information to the linmodems discussion
group.
My knowledge of modems is chiefly related to the ESS 2898, whose
driver I maintain.

Good luck,
Jeff

Hello Jeff,
Maybe you remember me...You helped me big time with all kind of
WinModem issues.....

Despite all warnings from several Forums Discussions I'll try it again
to get a soft-modem running.

On a new HP Laptop dv4 AMD Turion, 4GB RAM, 320GB HD I installed, so far
successfully, Linux Mint 7 Main Edition (Gloria) together with the
factory installation of Windows Vista. The model is "HP - Pavilion dv4
1320ca".
I have trouble to set up a Dial-Up connection (which I depend on), and I
contact you because I need help.
I already ran "scanModem" and I attach 'ModemData.txt' and 'dmesg.txt'.
I also attach the file "ALSAcariboo.tar.gz" which was generated by
scanModem and lspci -v.
Please, let me know if any further info is needed.
Thanks in advance
J.G.
