With
$ sudo gedit /etc/resolv.conf
try copying over the
 142.161.130.154
 142.161.2.154

and then test browsing.  I don't understand  why the
 142.161.130.155
 142.161.2.155
is appearning in /etc/ppp/resolv.conf instead.  Did you stupulate
these by hand in the KPPP conf.  It is preferable to use an autoDNS
choice, as IPs may change DNS servers

You might try installing and using wvdial instead of KPPP or gnomeppp
