SLMODEMD.GCC4.3 probably faulty on Ubuntu systems

Thanks for the success report.While the version 2.9.11 is the same for both slmodemd,the one you were trying to use earlier had been compiled with agcc-4.3 compiler on a Fedora host system by Antonio
On my Ubuntu system with 4.3 compiler, the comparable compile failsper sample  below.  Fortunately from your success shows that theslmodemd compiled with the former gcc-4.2 compiler is effective.
We will have to figure our the cause of the failure below.
