actually I already had patched it on Jul 24th when I first tried
the drivers. Fedorians and RHELs/CentOS/SL users can get alsa-kmdl
packages doing The Right Thing (TM) here:

http://atrpms.net/name/alsa-driver/

(this is alsa 1.0.17 with the hda export patches)
