Can you start by patching your ALSA as described in: http://linmodems.technion.ac.il/packages/ltmodem/11c11040/HOWTO-Agere-11c11040-HDA.html Also, download the appropriate driver package for your system, but do not build it yet. When you let me know your ALSA is set up accordingly, I will e-mail some files/instructions to you that will (hopefully, when compiled) replace the x86-only code.
