Then: alarm! Modem hang up. In that case, I can control that the computer is not "talking" at all on the phone line: nothing has been sent! And I have to restart the computer, like a poor windows machine, if I want to have my modem working. Sometimes I have to restart it several times. I get no info in the log files, and I don't know where to start to get some clue on what is wrong these days when I cannot connect my modem.
