I'm not having any luck at all yet but that is because I am currently
running Knoppix 5.3.1 Live DVD so any changes I make are lost as soon as
I reboot :-(
Also, alsamixer reports version 1.0.16 when your check reports 1.0.15.
I have downloaded the driver tarball for 1.0.15. Is it possible to
modprobe the drivers with my live system? If so, what is the command please?
With this live DVD sound doesn't work at all either; reports missing
files etc.
I will have to wait until I get Fedora 9 installed on my 4G usb stick
and get back to a familiar distro to get it all working and permanent. I
will be eagerly awaiting the final HOWTO and the driver tarball.
Many thanks for all your help. I'm watching and trying what I can. You
haven't got rid of me yet :-)
