acpi=off is not to the end of the document.
Is end to the "ro quiet splash"

sudo modprobe agserial should work.

Stay sure than the follow commands don't show the message:
FATAL: Error inserting agrserial
(/lib/modules/2.6.15-23-386/extra/agrserial.ko): No such device

sudo modprobe agrmodem
sudo modprobe agrserial
sudo ln -s /dev/ttyAGS3 /dev/ttySAGR
sudo ln -s /dev/ttyAGS3 /dev/modem
sudo wvdialconf /etc/wvdial.conf
