Ik tried the agere modem modules generated with the packages at:
http://phep2.technion.ac.il/linmodems/packages/ltmodem/sv92/
This one gives me actually some modules:
agrsm-20070804.tar.gz
- agrmodem.ko and agrserial.ko
I'm able to load these modules and if loaded I find a new entry in dev:
/dev/ttyAGS3
/dev/modem is not generated. Should it be there?
The problem is that my fax application (eFax-gtk) is able to 'open' the
modem port /dev/ttyAGS3 but the modem is not responding.
Is there a solution or is it just not working for my system?
I have Ubuntu Gutsy, kernel 2.6.22-11-generic installed.
