Davide,

If running scanModem generated in the Modem/ folder a file
like ALSADdavide.tgz, please send it to me.

If
----------
 PCI slot PCI ID SubsystemID Name
 ----------     ---------       ---------       --------------
 00:1b.0        8086:284b       103c:30d8       Audio device: Intel
Corporation 82801H
----------
is going to work with slmodemd support, the device name CANNOT be
modem:0 . This is the audio function. THough competent with
wvdialconf, it lacks the COMM support to get on line.

Try:
$ sudo slmodemd -c USA --alsa hw:0,1
and
$ sudo slmodemd -c USA --alsa hw:0,6
