Ketan, Thanks for sharing this with me, I will forward this to the list so that they know that KnetworkManager might interfere with connections, I see this also happens in Fedora with Network Manager, and I have shut down the service, turned it off so that it won't cause trouble. When you dialup to connect you can also try to use # sudo ifconfig eth0 down and then # sudo wvdial and see if that cures the problem without messing with Knetworkmanager.
