Pixall, we really have little idea how scanModem behaves on MAC architecture. My filters and parsing may not be appropriate. scanModem is mostly useful for the PCI slot hardware of PCs But send us the output of $ lspci $ lspci -nv which is mostly what scanModem parses. Also try: $ sudo wvdialconf /etc/wvdial.conf which would detect Controller Chipset modems on a PC What does the MAC info/diagnostic relate about the modem type?
