No it is not a typo, he needs SLMODEMD.gcc4.2.tar.gz which does not exist in
http://linmodems.technion.ac.il/packages/smartlink/

Because
CPU=i686,
Welcome to openSUSE 10.3 (i586) - Kernel
Linux version 2.6.22.12-0.1-default (geeko@buildhost) (gcc version 4.2.1 (SUSE Linux)) #1 SMP 2007/11/06 23:05:18 UTC
 scanModem update of:  20071109

He can compile slmodem-2.9.11-20070813.tar.gz with alsa support to generate the slmodemd that he needs because the gcc4.2 package does not exist.

Regards,

Antonio

Antonio
Please double check which file you wanted Manuel to download.
May I suggest that you mistyped 4.2 in place of 4.1 ?
