You can compile slmodem-2.9.11-20070813 with ALSA support from within slmodem-2.9.11-20070813 directory $ cd modem $ make SUPPORT_ALSA=1 You are correct there is no SLMODEMD.gcc4.2.tar.gz! There needs to be a precompiled one for users that have systems running gcc4.2.
