Jose,

Additionally scanModem did not perform as expected, perhaps.
Please do:
$ mv Modem/ALSAroot.tgz   ../
to preserve it.

Next record the scanModem actions in detail with:
$  sudo bash -x ./scanModem 2>&1  |  tee jose
When it finishes.
$ gzip jose

Send to me Only the jose.gz and also ALSAroot.tgz
SoftModem.txt provides some details on doing modem diagnositics under
Microsoft.

Do
$ lspci  | grep -v USB  | grep -v  bridge | grep -v RAM
and copy the output to all of us.
The "grep -v " filters eliminate non-useful lines.

Most likely your modem is hosted by some new High Definition Audio card,
which scanModem can not yet recognize.
