is well supported. See the AgereDSP.txt for details.

But compiling is necessary.  Download through
http://pacakges.ubuntu.com the packages
linux-headers-2.6.20-15
linux-headers-2.6.20-15-lowlatency
linux-libc-dev
libc6-dev
In their common folder under Linux, they can be be coinstalled with:
$ sudo dpkg -i *.deb

Read the http://linmodems.technion.ac.il/packages/ltmodem/kernel-2.6/martian/MarsTest.txt
>From http://phep2.technion.ac.il/linmodems/pa
ckages/ltmodem/kernel-2.6/martian/  get the
martian-full-20061203.tar.gz  from which the drivers can be compiled.
