Hi:

My computer has a modem using the Intel MD563X chipset
(I didn't know any better when I bought it);
but I will need to update to a Linux 2.6 kernel.

On start.linux.org.ba/I563ep I found:
	"for MD563X(Intel-v92HAM
	Resursi:
	Alternativni drajveri (za novije kernele > 2.6.15)
	<linmodems.technion.ac.il/packages/intel/Philippe.Vouters>"
but I could not identify an appropriate driver there;
and also:
	"drajveri za MD563X(beta)
	<www.crypt.abshost.net/drivers/>"
but the link was broken.

On a "resources" page (I think on Technion site), I read:
	"Modems based on Intel chips (HaM/536ep/537)
	the SmartLink slmdm driver ... starting from 2.9.1 ...
	usually supports these chips."
This page advised running scanModem to confirm suitability of this driver.

But scanModem had nothing to say about suitability of slmdm;
it only reported on my modem (see below).

I would appreciate further directions to help me locate a suitable driver.

Contents of ModemData.txt follow:
(Ignore references to the kernel - that was just for the test -
I would actually be looking to upgrade to something like Debian 4.0)
