Try passing acpi=off option to the kernel on the boot. For instance if
your kernel LILO tag is "KNL" you type
LILO:KNL apci=off

The log you've send is not full (due to 'grep agr' filtering). There're no
messages about commited interrupts and register seriail port. Mine for
instance are:

Jul 2 22:13:37 localhost kernel: agrmodem: module license 'Proprietary'
taints kernel.
Jul 2 22:13:37 localhost kernel: ACPI: PCI Interrupt Link [LNK3] enabled
at IRQ 3
Jul 2 22:13:37 localhost kernel: ACPI: PCI Interrupt 0000:05:08.0[A] ->
Link [LNK3] -> GSI 3 (level, low) -> IRQ 3
Jul 2 22:13:37 localhost kernel: agrsm: created 1 infos
Jul 2 22:13:37 localhost kernel: Loading module Agere Modem Controller
driver version 2.1.60.0.Linspire (2005-11-16)
Jul 2 22:13:41 localhost kernel: ttyAGS3 at I/O 0xa800 (irq = 3) is a
AgereModem
Jul 2 22:13:41 localhost kernel: agrserial: Loading module Agere Modem
Interface driver version 2.1.60.0.Linspire (2005-11-16)

with acpi disabled:

Jul 3 21:55:41 localhost kernel: agrmodem: module license 'Proprietary'
taints kernel.
Jul 3 21:55:41 localhost kernel: agrsm: created 1 infos
Jul 3 21:55:41 localhost kernel: Loading module Agere Modem Controller
driver version 2.1.60.0.Linspire (2005-11-16)
Jul 3 21:55:46 localhost kernel: ttyAGS3 at I/O 0xa800 (irq = 3) is a
AgereModem
Jul 3 21:55:46 localhost kernel: agrserial: Loading module Agere Modem
Interface driver version 2.1.60.0.Linspire (2005-11
-16)

Please let me see those strings too.

Regards,
A.Chentsov

And now new agrsm-alpha.tar.bz2 with patch-20070702.bz2 applied ok
I've receive the new message:
[4294900.813000] agrmodem: module license 'Proprietary' taints kernel.
[4294900.816000] agrsm: created 1 infos
[4294923.734000] agrserial: Loading module Agere Modem Interface driver version 2.1.60.0.Linspire (2005-11-16)

But wvdial failled yet.

Sorry, no modem was detected! Is it in use by another program?
Did you configure it properly with setserial?

Please read the FAQ at http://open.nit.ca/wiki/?WvDial

If you still have problems, send mail to <wvdial-list@xxxxxxxxxxxx>.
