Vendor 11c1 is Lucent Technologies with modem technology now under LSI Inc.
Their Linux code developer/maintainer is Soumyendu Sarkar. Support for a chipset and its continued maintenance is only initiated at the request of a major chipset buyer, or comparable sponsor. Several different modem chipset types are produced:
with varying support under Linux.

agrsm-alpha.tar.bz2 potentially provides support for PCI_id chipsets
  11c1:048c, 11c1:048f and 11c1:0620
in addition to prior support of Subsystems under Intel 8086:???? below

11C1:0620
8086:(2416 2426 7196 2486 24C6 24CD6 266D) are soft modem controllers, better
supported through ALSA modem drivers and the Smartlink slmodemd helper.

There has only been one reported success for 11c1:048c, 11c1:048f and 11c1:0620. See:

Interaction with experts will likely be necessary to get any of these modems working.

Hugo,

We are very interested in modems potentially served by agrsm-alpha and
will help.
But please send us the ModemData.txt output by scanModem, so we can
best understand your hardware. Please copy to "Alexei Chentsov"
<chentsov@xxxxxxxxxxxx> who best understands the code.

Note that if a port like /dev/ttyAGS3 was created by driver loading,
a symbolic link can be created:
$ sudo ln -s /dev/ttyAGS3  /dev/ttySAGR.
Then subsequently wvdialconf will test /dev/ttySAGR --> /dev/ttyAGS3

Driver: "agrsm-alpha.tar.bz2"

I use the Ubuntu. I've compiled the driver. I've loaded the modules and
created links correctly. But I do not obtain the message "modem detected". The wvdial makes this: Port Scan: Scanning ttyLTM0 first, /dev/modem is link
you it.
When it would have to be perhaps: Port Scan: Scanning ttyAGS3 first,
/dev/modem is link you it.
The symbolic links are ok.
Do you anybody could help me?
