Hi, Anyone make any sense of this please? I've just installed Ubuntu on a
dual boot Windows XP laptop with internal modem, but can't get an internet
connection with Ubuntu. It works fine with XP. I'm an Ubuntu and Linux
virgin - be gentle with me please :-) If I launch Firefox and attempt to
browse to a web address the computer doesn't attempt to dial up and just
says the website is unavailable. Is is something to do with the modem / lack
of a driver? I've run the utility as suggested on the web site with the
output below. Thanks.

The PCI slot 00:1f.6 of the modem card may be disabled early in
a bootup process, but then enabled later. If modem drivers load
but the modem is not responsive, read Bootup.txt about possible fixes.
