Tim,
The Trident  hardware is a known problem,which we may be able to work around,through you may not be able to have Sound and modem servicesimultaneously supported under Linux.
What is the output of:$ lsmod | grep snd
and please send your complete ModemData.txt output from running./scanModem
I'm air traveling today and may not be back online until tomorrow.
