Jim,

slamr maintainer Sasha might be able to do something,
but it is beyond my (biologist) skills by far.
As I mentioned early, just putting the PCI ID for
14e4:4212   BCM V.90 56k modem
into the slamr code  FAILED to support slmodemd services.
