Thanks for the comments at first.

I think, I'm running in the same problems as Lajos
(Vendor Id: 0x11c11040) and my intention to post is
only to contribute additional data (as asked for in
ModemData.txt)

Currently I have recompiled versions of
 *alsa 1.0.14rc2 (driver, lib,..., compiled for
   hda_intel + debugging, exactly following the
   ALSA documentation for snd_hda_intel)
 *slmodem-2.9.11-20061021

a soft-modem is detected on the sound-card, wvdialconf runs
and gives again:
 Modem = /dev/ttySL0
 Init1 = ATZ
 Init2 = ATQ0 V1 E1 S0=0 &C1 &D2 +FCLASS=0
 Init3 = AT+MS=34
 Modem Type = Analog Modem
 ISDN = 0
 New PPPD = yes
 Baud = 460800
 Carrier Check = no

but I get the same output as before when I start wvdial
- no carrier and dmesg prints:

ALSA /usr/src/alsa/alsa-driver-1.0.14rc2/pci/hda/hda_codec.c:1400 invalid rate 9600
ALSA /usr/src/alsa/alsa-driver-1.0.14rc2/pci/hda/../../alsa-kernel/pci/hda/hda_intel.c:1153: hda-intel: invalid format_val, rate=9600, ch=1, format=2
ALSA /usr/src/alsa/alsa-driver-1.0.14rc2/pci/hda/hda_codec.c:627 hda_codec_setup_sream: NID=0x1, stream=0x0, channel=0, format=0x0

Ralf.
