Get the Ubuntu packages for sl-modem-daemon
Install with
$ sudo dpkg -i sl-modem-daemon
this will provide for atomation AFTER

you compile and install the slamr.ko and ungrab-winmodem.ko
drivers as desribed in Smartlink.txt  Aftter these installs just reboot.
THe drivers should autoload. Check with:
$ lsmod | grep ungrab

and
$ sudo wvdialconf   /etc/wvdial.conf
should find the modem
