Hi all,

While surfing the code I happened to land on the following piece of code in the file net/sched/sch_htb.c.

if ((cl->un.leaf.prio = hopt->prio) >= TC_HTB_NUMPRIO)
                       cl->un.leaf.prio = TC_HTB_NUMPRIO - 1;

NUMPRIO is defined to eight, hence I feel the behavior.
I will be trying to change this value, still any idea behind this logic.

Thanks,
Vinod  C

Hi all,

I am using htb for traffic classification.
Is there a limit to the value prio can take cos when I give the following command .

tc class add dev eth2 classid 1:22 parent 1:2 htb rate 500Kbit ceil 1000Kbit prio 8

and then check the output, I find that the prio of 1:22 is 7, same case for other values above 7.

Thanks,
Vinod C
