Hmm, it looks like IMQ (http://luxik.cdi.cz/~devik/qos/imq.htm) might
do a little bit of what I'm after, but I'm not sure.

Devik?

I can only tell that IMQ allows shaping of traffic over multiple
interfaces, but not if something like the above situation would be
possible eventually.
