Hi Everyone..

I started using Tc and iam Newbie..
Iam trying to use simple TBF to drop the excessive
traffic than the rate.
*******
Scenario:
*******
SRC 1,SRC 2 are sending 5MB traffic each to DEST.

I have implemented TBF qdisc at
Eth0 0f R1
Eth0 of R2
Eth0 & Eth1 of R3
Eth0 0f R4.

the TBF applied is

tc qdisc add dev eth0 root tbf rate 1mbit burst 5kb
latency 350ms.

********
Result
*******

But the destination is able to receive the whole
traffic which is approx 10mb.

I wanted to see only 1mbit of traffic and all the rest
to be dropped.
*******
Questions
*******
1) Is there any problem with interfaces. To know my
knowledge we have to use qdisc for incoming
interfaces?
2)Does the rate means the amount of traffic that can
be filtered???

Please suggest me...
