For what it's worth, I quickly tried to passthrough one of the onboard
USB controllers instead (Intel Corporation 82801JD/DO (ICH10 Family),
which is also affected by the 4k limitation). It improves the artifact
problems, bringing the artifacts down to one artifact every 5 seconds.

I'll be back in ~1½ week, please tell me if you want me to test
something when I get back.
