Unfortunately, you can't seem to change the resolution when logging into a Gnome or a Wayland or X11 session from remote like you can with Windows. Once you're connected, it's too late to change it. Well, with Gnome it's no more effort than clicking on two buttons or so in the settings before someone can connect with an rdp client from remote. The only problem is that a user must be logged in and must enable the so-called desktop sharing before anyone can connect from remote. Will the drivers continue to support Xorg on Linux and/or on other platforms when Wayland has replaced it? Rdp is available even on Windows. X11 forwarding is the worst option. Krdc isn't too great, and how do you allow someone to join your KDE session from remote?
