rpm -qa | grep 'kde.*devel'

kdelibs-devel-3.1.4-4
kdebase-devel-3.1.4-6
kdesdk-devel-3.1.4-1
kdenetwork-devel-3.1.4-1
kdemultimedia-devel-3.1.4-1
lockdev-devel-1.0.1-1.3
kdepim-devel-3.1.4-1
kdegames-devel-3.1.4-2
kdeutils-devel-3.1.4-1
kdeedu-devel-3.1.4-1
kdegraphics-devel-3.1.4-1
kdebindings-devel-3.1.4-1

it looks likie the devel libs are there.

on fedora 1 386 i have no problem compiling kde apps,
its only on fedora 1 x86-64 i have problems.
there must be some trick to compile

this doesnt work,

and as i wrote in my first email
l already tried 'kde-config --prefix'

The correct prefix for RedHat *is*: "/usr".

If you tried that and you still get the error that it can't find the libraries, then the problem is probably that you haven't installed the 'devel' packages. Start with kdelibs-devel and kdebase-devel.
