It loads but there is no flash content. Other flash enabled sites redirect me 
to macromedias download page.

Yes it is listed. As per the other post by Paul Sprakes there was a library 
missing which I located and downloaded. It is also chmod'ed 755 and ldd shows 
nothing missing. AFAICT Flash should be working unless there is some other 
dependency that is missing, but what?
